Smart Sindara is so passionate about education in Nigeria and is on a mission to promote literacy and education. Our very 1st reading event was a pro bono one. It held at a government primary school within Olowora, Berger Lagos on March 8, 2017.
It surely remains a special day in our history and a memorable day in the lives of these children. The children filed out in excitement, sat on their chairs and read class after class. We read the prototype copy of the Smart Sindara book. The chapter titled ‘Why do children go to school’ is so informative. They learnt that school is not only for reading and writing. It is to develop the life long appetite for learning, to socialize, to build confidence and to learn how to solve real life problems. The program had the support of school authorities, PTA, and community.
It wasn’t all reading. Thanks to Nestle Milo, hundreds of children had a cup of nourishing Milo drink each.
